You are being asked to volunteer for a survey which is a joint venture between the McAfee School of Business at Union University and the Jackson Chamber of Commerce. Completing this survey will provide crucial information for future business decisions for the city and areas surrounding Jackson, TN. The results of this survey will allow the Chamber of Commerce to make informed decisions regarding the wants, needs and preferences of those living in Jackson, TN, and the surrounding towns.  The survey will take approximately 10 minutes of your time. 

 

Purpose of the Survey: Assessing Jackson residents' preferences in relation to travel. 

 

Procedures: If you agree to be in this study, you will be asked to answer the following questions on our survey. The surveys will be returned anonymously with no way to link responses to individual respondents. Any and all demographic information will be used for data analysis only and will be kept private by the survey administrator.  

 

Risks and Benefits of Being in the Study: There are no significant risks associated with participating in this study.  All information is confidential and you will not be identified individually in your responses. All survey responses are submitted anonymously and cannot be linked back to your IP address. The benefits to participants are to give feedback in order to improve his or her personal travel experience.

 

Compensation: There is no compensation for participating in this study. However, this research may result in services which directly benefit you and your family.

 

Voluntary Nature of the Study: Participation in this study is voluntary. Your decision whether or not to participate will not result in penalty or loss of benefits to which you are otherwise entitled. You may withdraw from the study at any time prior to submitting the anonymous survey.

 

Confidentiality: The records of this study will be kept private.  Your responses will remain anonymous. In written reports, there will be no information included that will make it possible to identify the research participant.  Research records will be stored securely with the survey administrator and only approved researchers will have access to the records.
